Product Description
We offer PVDF shock gauges (Bauer shock sensor) made with biaxially oriented BO-PVDF film for research and development.
They are produced using the same batch BO-PVDF film following the same procedure as Piezotech-Arkema used in the past twenty years.
we have them in stock and ship immediately upon order.
The shock gauges were developed by Dr Francois Bauer and other scientists in Europe and USA in 1990's for measuring ultrafast shock waves faster than microsecond.
- Reproducibility: The sensors are all made from a high quality biaxially stretched polymer material, poled by a patented process to provide a stable and consistent polarization. Evaporated gold over chromium electrodes allow precise active area measurement.
- Calibration: These are the only PVDF sensors that are supported by extensive shock calibration data. These data range from a few kPa to over 25 GPa.
- Technical support: PolyK staff has significant experience in all aspects of PVDF fabrication and use. We stand ready to support your experimental efforts. We provide the guidance you need to apply the transducer to your experimentation.
We can provide shock gauges with active size of 2 mm x 2 mm, 3 mm x 3 mm, or 5 mm x 5 mm.
BNC cable can be added at additional cost (last item)
The PVDF film to be used was from the same batch film used in previous numerous studies and the poling process is also the same with quantitative poling to achieve constant and consistent remnant charge density and pressure response.
